Several of our villas with pool are near Castellammare, in a breathtaking bay with many beautiful beaches in north-west Sicily. It is an ideal location for nature-lovers, close to the Zingaro nature reserve. Most of these villas are in tranquil countryside, a few kilometres inland, several with sea views. For a villa with pool that is also at the seaside, check out Villa Ginepro, just 250 metres from the beach near Scopello.
Our other villas with a pool are located in south-east Sicily, in and around the Val di Noto, famous for its eight Unesco heritage towns in the late Baroque style. Five of these villas with a pool are very close to the heritage towns of Noto, Ragusa and Modica. The other Baroque towns of Caltagirone, Catania, Militello, Palazzolo and Scicli are still within easy reach of all the properties. Golfers will enjoy Villa Psyke in Scoglitti, within walking distance of Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa and 5 km from the Cava di Randello nature reserve and its golden sandy beaches.
Discover the beaches of Sicily
When you think of Sicily, your first thought is of the sea and the beaches. The Sicilian coastline is over 1,000 kilometres long, and it boasts more beaches than any other Mediterranean island. The most renowned are at Marina di Ragusa, Donnalucata and the Giardini Naxos near Taormina, not forgetting Scala dei Turchi (Agrigento), San Vito Lo Capo at the north-west tip of Sicily, and Fontane Bianche near Syracuse.
Every Sicilian beach is unique, too. Some, such as Ognina, Fontane Bianche, San Vito Lo Capo and Mondello, have white sand while on others, such as Marina di Ragusa, Donnalucata, Marzamemi and La Scala dei Turchi, it is golden. Sunbathers and families, especially with children, generally prefer sandy beaches, while divers and snorkelers go for rocky beaches.
