Located along the northern coast of Sicily that goes from Castellammare del Golfo to San Vito lo Capo, the Nature Reserve Lo Zingaro offers beaches, coves and pristine cliffs of rare beauty, as well as numerous nature trails to discover one of the most beautiful Italian natural parks. The white pebble coves seem small niches dug among high rocky ridges: a limpid sea of a thousand shades laps this stunning Sicilian coast. Starting from San Vito lo Capo, the first cove you meet is Tonnarella dell'Uzzo, which is the most crowded and popular in high season. For those who love tranquility, just follow the paths that wind through the reserve to encounter small natural oasis of great beauty, such as Cala Torre Uzzo, Cala Marinella, Cala Beretta, Cala della Disa or Zingaro and Cala della Capreria: they are all spectacular. The seabed of the reserve sparkles of colours and underwater life, a true paradise for snorkeling and diving lovers. Moreover, the different paths crossing the Mediterranean vegetation of the reserve are perfect for trekking and walking. There are several stopping areas where you can relax or you may also ask for guided tours. The entrance to the reserve costs 5 euros per person with some reductions for children and old people. It can be accessed only on foot, leaving the car in the parking areas of the two entrances, one north (from San Vito Lo Capo) and the other one south (from Castellammare del Golfo).
