The seaside resort of Marina di Ragusa is an area of the municipality of Ragusa (25 km) and is located along the southeastern coast of Sicily. The beach of Marina di Ragusa is one of the most popular in Sicily. Its coast consists of a series of long shores with fine sand and shallow waters, which goes from the promenade Lungomare Andrea Doria to the marina. The hamlet offers free and equipped beaches with showers, deckchairs, umbrellas, bars and restaurants on the shore. There are also services for renting pedal boats, surfing, kitesurfing and boats. The beach offers free and pay (blue lines) parking areas along the seafront promenade that runs along the shore. Alternatively, it is possible to park in the streets close to the beach.
The beach called “La Ola” from the local beach club is ideal especially for young people who love beach sports, because it is wider than the other ones and equipped with beach playing fields, while the other beaches are perfect for those who want to enjoy the sea in total comforts. Families with children are advised to avoid the afternoon hours for possible crowding, while the morning is the quietest moment. The promenade offers free and pay parking areas, but other parking spaces are available a few meters from the beach. Beyond the marina there is a long extension of bathing cliffs with blue waters and deep seabed, perfect for snorkeling lovers.
Marina di Ragusa has received the “Blu Flag” (assigned by FEE, Foundation For Environmental Education) for different years for the quality of its sea, its coast, its services and security measures, its environmental education.
